The integration with Pipedrive sends every new contact from Swopi straight into your Pipedrive. A lead from the form on a web business card or a contact added manually in the dashboard is automatically created as a Person, and optionally also as a Lead in the Leads inbox.
One-way push via the Pipedrive REST API. Swopi never deletes anything in Pipedrive. The connection is native OAuth — sign in with Pipedrive and allow access, no API tokens to paste. Deduplication by email: Swopi updates an existing person instead of creating a duplicate.
#Overview
| Target CRM | Pipedrive |
| Connection | Native OAuth (Pipedrive sign-in) |
| What gets created | Person, optionally + Lead |
| Trigger | Automatically on a new contact, or manual sending of selected contacts |
| Deduplication | By email — an existing person is updated |
| Availability | Swopi Teams plan, configured by the administrator |
#Prerequisites
- the Swopi Teams plan and the administrator role,
- a Pipedrive account.
#How to connect
Dashboard → Integrations → Pipedrive:
- Click Connect Pipedrive → sign in with your Pipedrive account.
- On the Pipedrive screen allow access (Allow & Install).
- Done — you're returned to the configuration and contacts start syncing.
#Sync settings
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Automatic sync | Contacts are written to Pipedrive right after capture. Turn off for manual sending. |
| Primary sync object | Write contacts as a Person, or as a Person + Lead (lead in the Leads inbox). |
#Field mapping
| Field in Swopi | Pipedrive |
|---|---|
| Name | name |
email |
|
| Phone | phone |
| Company | organization (org_id) |
| Note | Note linked to the person |
Contacts are deduplicated by email — an existing person is updated, a new one is created.
#How it works
- A new lead from a business card / a manually added contact → Swopi creates/updates a person in Pipedrive (dedup by email).
- The note is saved as a Note on the person; optionally "Source: Swopi" is added.
- With the Person + Lead target, a lead is also created in the Leads inbox.
- Use Create test lead to verify the connection.
- Leads added manually in the dashboard and from a web card sync automatically; push older contacts once via Sync to CRM → Pipedrive.
- Everything is logged in Sync Logs (success/error).
#Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Resolution |
|---|---|
| "Access wasn't granted" | Sign in with Pipedrive again and allow access (Allow & Install). |
| The contact was not created | Verify that the integration is connected and automatic synchronization is on. |
| "Connection waiting to activate" | The one-time Swopi setup hasn't finished yet (activates shortly after deploy). |
#Disconnecting
In Integrations → Pipedrive click Disconnect — access is removed and writing stops; the tile returns to "Set up". Records already created in Pipedrive remain.

#Field mapping
Choose which Swopi field goes into which field here in the Field mapping tab (Dashboard → Integrations → this integration). How it works + the defaults: Field mapping.
